Primary Consumers

The main body mass of the squid is enclosed in the mantle, which has two swimming fins along each side. It should be noted that these fins, unlike in other marine organisms, are not the main source of ambulation in most species. The skin of the squid is covered in chromatophores, which enable the squid to change color to suit its surroundings. The underside of the squid is also found to be lighter than the topside, in order to provide camouflage from both prey and predator.
The Krill is a shrimp-like aquatic primary comsumer. It is apart of the zooplankton family and is a main food source to baleen whales, mantas, whale sharks, crabeater seals and other seals. The name krill comes from the Norwegian word krill, meaning "young fry of fish". They live in all the oceans around the world. They are called "keystone species" close to the bottom of the food chain because they feed on most types of plankton.

The Shrimp, is a small, swimming, decapod crustaceans, under the Infraoder Carldea family. They can be found widely around the worldin both fresh water and salt water. Most people consume Shrimp, along with the Prawns. There is a number of species that share the word "shrimp" in their species name. The shrimp primarly feed on bacteria.
