Producers

Seagrass: are a flowering plant from four plant families that grow in the marine saline environment. They are called sea grasses only because most species superficially resemble terrestrial grasses of the Family poaceae.

Plankton: are any drifting organism that inhabits the pelagic zone of oceans, seas, or bodies of fresh water. It is a description of life-style rather than a genetic classification. They are widely considered to be some of the most important organisms on Earth, due to the food supply they provide to most aquatic life.

Algae: Algae is a simple plant, seen throught the study of botany. It has bacteria characteristics and some are even concidered Protists. They are still concidered plants. The Protists are concidered more animal like. It is a single celled organism with its plant like features underwater.
No animals went exticnt after the disturbance but the the Barracuda and the aquatic vertebrate went endangered . The shrimp and the aquatic worm are threatened. All the other animals are doing fine. A few died of each species but are doing well now. The Shwhale and the squid have no expected change from the disturbance and none of the species are expected to have an increased amount of the species after the disturbance.

Disturbence

Well now that every thing is living happily there is one major problem. Due to global warming the oceans waters are cooling off and are slowly killing the fish population. There body tempatures can not hold out. But most fish can adapt but a vast majority of the fish are dieing and or dead due to the cold water.

Numbers and Energy Pyramid

This is our Energy Pyramid. It starts witht that aquatic worm with 10,000% of energy and since 90% of the energy is lost at every level, the next level with the shrimp is at 1,000. Then the barracuda with 100%, the squid with 10% and then the shwhale with 1% energy.

Here's the numbers pyramid containing the Shwhale, the Krill, and the Cyanobacteria. One tertiary Consumer, one Primary consumer and one Decomposer.

The Shwhale

A. The Shwhale is the largest predators of mammals ever known. Shwhale's are generally drably countershaded. Countershading is a type of camouflage in which the dorsal side is darker than the ventral side. The dark top of a countershaded animal blends in with the oceans depth when you look from above. The light ventral side blends in with the lighter surface of the sea when looked at from below. The result is that predators or prey do not see the difference between the enviroment and to species. The Shwhale's eyes are lateral, the left eye is twice the size of the right eye so it is able to see in deep water as well as in shallow water.

B. The Shwhale lives in the ocean. It lives in the deep part of the ocean but travels all over the shollow parts as well.

C. Shwhales only live in the Bahamas. Their are about 3,000 Shwhales in the world.

D. Shwhales reproduce once in their lifetime. They can only have one offspring. They take very good care of their offspring. It is very rare if a Shwhale were to die young. The Shwhales pick very carefully when choosing a mate.

E. Shwhales eat all sharks and whales. They also eat fish.

F. The Shwhale is the highest position on the tropical aquatic ecosystem food web. The Shwhales niche is the bottom of the ocean. It is very dark and not many species go around a Shwhales niche.

G. If the PH level changed or if there was acidic rain then the Shwhale would bocome very ill.

Tertiary Consumers

The large fish is an aquatic vertebrate this is cold-blooded, covered head to toe in scales. It swims with its two sets of paired fins and a few other unpaired fins. You can find the large fish in fresh and salt water. They are a big importance in our food source around the world. not only do we eat them, we also collect them. The term "fish" is described as any non-tetrapod chordate, or an animal with a backbone that has gills throught out its lifetime.

The term whale, reffers to all cetaceans, just to the larger ones. Whales are called cetaceans which are neither dolphins or porpoises. It is a large, aquatic mammal, that can take on many different shapes, sizes, and colors. This whale here is the Killer whale, a larger type, black and white, that mostly eat fish and other small to medium size aquatic animals.

The shark is a larger species of the fish, with a full cartilaginous skeleton and a stremlined body. To breath underwater, they use their seven gill slits. To protect their skin from any damages and parasites, and to improve fluid dynamics they have a covering of dermal denticles and replaceable teeth. Sharks vary in sizes from 22 centimeters (9 inches) to 12 meters (39 feet). You can find sharks in both fresh and salt water. They feed on mostly plankton, squid and small fish through their filter feeding.

Secondary Consumer

The Barracuda is a secondary consumer. It eats other fish so it make it a meat-eater and is also prey to larger fish. They live in tropical oceans.

The octopus inhabits many parts of the ocean, especially coral reefs. There are 289 different ocopus species. They have eight arms usually baring suction cups. They have mostly soft bodies with no internal skeleton.

Octopuses eat shrimp, lobsters, crabs, and snails. They eat by grabbing prey into their eight arms. Using their parrot-like mouth, they shred prey into small pieces that will fit into their mouths.

Primary Consumers

The main body mass of the squid is enclosed in the mantle, which has two swimming fins along each side. It should be noted that these fins, unlike in other marine organisms, are not the main source of ambulation in most species. The skin of the squid is covered in chromatophores, which enable the squid to change color to suit its surroundings. The underside of the squid is also found to be lighter than the topside, in order to provide camouflage from both prey and predator.
The Krill is a shrimp-like aquatic primary comsumer. It is apart of the zooplankton family and is a main food source to baleen whales, mantas, whale sharks, crabeater seals and other seals. The name krill comes from the Norwegian word krill, meaning "young fry of fish". They live in all the oceans around the world. They are called "keystone species" close to the bottom of the food chain because they feed on most types of plankton.

The Shrimp, is a small, swimming, decapod crustaceans, under the Infraoder Carldea family. They can be found widely around the worldin both fresh water and salt water. Most people consume Shrimp, along with the Prawns. There is a number of species that share the word "shrimp" in their species name. The shrimp primarly feed on bacteria.

Nassau, Bahamas

Nassau, Bahamas

Up above shows a data table of the rain fall and temperature. These are the temperatures in the tropical island of the Nassau. Most of the time there it is hot and humid, at times it rains and there are tropical storms. In the winter it rains less on a average day. Also during the Summer it rains and is hotter than the other seasons.
There are not very many Hills in Nassau. There are some volcanos and it's very flat. It is a very hot island with a tropical aquatic ecosystem.
